Our love of wood and our vision for flitchsawing large wood slabs was inspired by the artists and craftsmen of yesterday. In no small way are we influenced by the master works of George Nakashima of the American Arts and Crafts Movement, Gustav Stickley, Charles and Henry Greene, and Frank Lloyd Wright. Contemporary architects, craftsmen, and designers are carrying on those traditions today.
In an era of machine-made production and planned obsolescence, our slabs come from trees that have already had a full life, and are now ready to live again in the hands of artists and craftsmen where they will become one-of-a-kind, functional works of art.
